Getting started
Your first character
When you start the game, choose Register, type a name and a password, and pick a class. The name can use
letters, digits and _ (3 to 16 of them). Your class is for good, so have a look at the four of them first:
Warrior, Sura, Shaman and Ninja. Warriors and Suras fight up close; Shamans
and Ninjas attack from a distance.
You can log in to this website with the same name and password to see your character.

Skills and mana
You get a skill point at every level, starting with one at level 1. Open the skill tree with K and spend it: the first point in a skill learns it, and each further point makes it stronger (up to 10). Many skills cost mana, which refills by itself, even in a fight. Your class page lists every skill, what it costs and what extra points do.
Equipment
You start with a weapon for your class. Press I to see what you wear: drag gear from your bag onto its slot, or right-click it, to put it on. Gunnar the Smith on the village plaza sells helmets, armor, boots and more, and monsters drop gear too. Better pieces need a higher level, so check the equipment list.
Gunnar also upgrades gear: drag a piece onto him, and for some gold and a little luck it goes from +0 up to +9. When you can afford one, Hilda the Merchant sells a Dark Horse: put it in your mount slot and press G to ride.
The first hour
- Spend your first skill point (K). Everyone in the village has something to say, and most of them have work for you. You start in the village (overworld). Talk to Elder Bram (E) for your first quest, Slime Trouble.
- Hilda the Merchant sells potions and buys whatever monsters drop. You start without gold, so sell your first loot there and buy a few Red Potions.
- Take the road north out of the village into wilds. The slimes in the meadow leave you alone until you attack them, which makes them a good first target.
- When you’ve finished the quest, the Elder has the next one ready. The quests lead you deeper into the wilds, one step at a time. At level 3 he also sends you to scout the old ruins.
Quests
The Elder isn’t the only one with work. Hilda the Merchant needs slime goo and a letter carried to the forge, Gunnar the Smith wants wolf pelts, and Tamsin the Ranger at the edge of the wilds has a whole chain that ends in the orc camp. Quests come in four kinds:
- Hunt: defeat a number of monsters. Everyone who hits one gets credit for it.
- Collect: bring items in your bag to the quest giver. What you already carry counts.
- Deliver: carry a parcel to someone else, who gives you the reward.
- Explore: find a place, then go back and report.
Press Q to see what you’re on and how far along you are.
Good to know
- Out of combat you heal slowly by yourself. Potions are for when it gets tight: R for health, T for mana.
- Lost or in trouble? B takes you back to the village if you can stand still for three seconds. The Teleport Ring does it instantly, every 30 seconds.
- Past the wilds lie mirewood and sunscorch, with tougher monsters and better gear. Press M to see the whole world and how strong you should be for each part.
- Elixirs, scrolls and charms from the merchant give buffs like faster running or more experience.
- If you die, you lose a little experience (never a level) and wake up in the village after five seconds.
- Fighting together pays off: everyone who hits a monster gets the full experience and quest credit for it.
- Loot belongs to whoever did the most damage for 15 seconds, then anyone can pick it up.
- How fast you level up is explained in the level table.
